Government amends Tourist License rules

Finally, the Balearic government has published the new laws surrounding touristic rentals. This will affect anyone who owns a property and rents it out for sort term lets (less than one month).

The changes are many and without entering into the question as to whether it is for the better or for the worse, our partners at Bufete Frau have made a summary of the most important issues related to this activity. The rules are numerous and anyone found falling foul of these new laws will face very large fines.
